Mohamed Amin Kenawy, PhD

Professor of Medical Entomology, Entomology Department, Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University, Egypt

 

Research interest: Over 40 years, the main interests as a staff member of the Entomology Department, Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University, Cairo are the entomological and parasitological aspects of the malaria disease in Egypt. Besides research activities on leishmaniasis and Rift Valley were also included. During my work in Malaria Department, Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia for 6 years, the activities included studies on Dengue fever, flea vectors of Plague disease (survey and isolation of the causative organism), and myiasis producing flies mainly the screw worms. As a Professor, lecturing undergraduate and postgraduate students Medical Entomology, Forensic Entomology, Maggot Therapy, Vector Control and Population Dynamics. Besides supervising MSc and PhD students.
